Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar on a 2024 Chevy Equinox. Now, there's five main components required for flat towing your Equinox down the road, and we'll start on the vehicle side, and that's gonna start with the base plate, and that attaches to the frame of the vehicle and gives us the structural mounting point for the rest of our connections. And the connecting point between the base plate and the hitch on the RV is gonna be your tow bar, and that's your second component. Again, this is the physical attachment, basically like the coupler of your trailer. This is what is going to pull this down the road. Now, just like a trailer, you also have safety cables just in case of disconnect. more

Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar Installation - 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar on a 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500. There's five main components when flat towing a vehicle that are gonna be required on your Silverado to get it down the road and the first one is gonna be your base plate that's gonna attach to the frame of the vehicle creating a mounting point not only for some of your other components but your tow bar. And your tow bar is the connection point between that base plate and the hitch on the RV. Now going along with that, we have our safety chains and these are going to make sure, in case of a less than likely, but potential, of a disconnect these are gonna keep everything still attached. And you also have a breakaway switch which is part of your braking system which is also a component which brings the vehicle to slow and stop when you apply the brakes on the RV. And the breakaway switch, as if this was to pull in case of a catastrophic disconnect, it's going to apply the brakes on the vehicle bringing it to a slow and stop. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar on a 2022 Chevrolet Spark. Now, if you've seen flat-towed vehicles, you see the tow bar connecting the towed vehicle to the RV and they all kind of tend to look the same. But this is one that really stands out. I can spot these across the highway and that's because it has these nice LED lights and that seems like a pretty small thing, but from what I've heard, people out on the road, swear by it because when you're towing your vehicle at night, the headlights are not on. So if someone's next to your towed vehicle, this gives them an indication that it's actually just behind the RV, that way, it's not just someone tailgating the RV, they can know that something's attached and not to merge over. And that's one of many small features that make the Nighthawk really stand out in a wide range of tow bars. more

You can see here that the Falcon All-Terrain does have a nice gray finish to it and it does have a lot of features of it. To me, this is one of my favorite tow bars. RoadMaster Blackhawk 2 All Terrain Tow Bar Installation - 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video

Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're going to be going over the Road Master Black Hawk Two All Terrain Tow Bar, here on our 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. So the Black Hawk is really gonna be the perfect pick for the Silverado here because this is a 10,000 pound rated tow bar which we're gonna need for such a large vehicle here. So a lot of the other tow bars on the market are gonna max out much lower. Some of them 5,000, 7,500 pounds. Granted, we might be able to get away with a 7,500 pound tow bar here on the Silverado, but having that extra 10,000 pound capacity is really gonna give us peace of mind here that we're not maxing out the capacity of our tow bar with our big truck. So in regards to compatibility, this particular tow bar is gonna be specifically designed for the Road Master Direct Connect style base plates, which are what we have here. more

I like this tow bar for many reasons, one of them being is how lightweight it's going to be. It's going to be so light because it's built from an aluminum construction, so that's going to make it easier to use.Another reason I really like it is it has this LED lighting. That's going to make it easy to see at nighttime and let people know that we are connected from our motorhome to our vehicle when we're going down the road. Today on our 2019 Chevrolet Colorado, we will be taking a look at the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar as part of a complete flat tow setup. We will also be using Roadmaster's EZ5 baseplate kit, Roadmaster's universal high powered inaudible 00:00:17 wiring kit, Roadmaster's battery disconnect kit, and SMI's air force one supplemental braking system, since our RV has air brakes. This tow bar is going to allow you to connect your vehicle to your motor home, so you can pull it behind you.And adding a feature to our Nighthawk here, there are lights that run down each arm when you've got it hooked up to your motor home with the lights on. This will add some extra visibility so people can see where you are when you're heading down the road at night.Each arm on this is going to be non-binding. And what that means is that it has a lever that will allow the tension to be released on the arm here. So if you're parked on uneven terrain, it'll make it easier to disconnect your tow bar from your vehicle.Included with your tow bar, you're going to have your coiled seven to six pole wiring, as well as your safety cables. more

Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar Installation - 2018 Chevrolet Sonic- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Sonic, we're going to be taking a look at the Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar, part number BX7420. Now, keep in mind this only going to be one component of a safe, complete flat tow setup. For a complete setup, you are going to need a base plate, tow bar wiring, a tow bar, and a braking system. Specifically for our sonic, we also used a fuse master fuse bypass, because we do need to pull fuses for them.As you can see, our Sonic isn't directly in line or behind our motor home, but we're still able to hook it up, because the extendable arms that work independently from each other, making hooking up a lot easier, even on even terrain. Our tow bar is going to serve as the connection between our Sonic and our motor home, making sure that we can flat tow it safely and securely and get down the road. On one end, it's going to attach directly to our base plate on our Sonic, and on the motor home side, it's going to slide directly into the receiver tube or the high-low adapter like we have here. more
